Concept & Inspiration
Capybara is more than a cute character. For this project, it became the visual anchor for the entire event. Look built a Kawaii world of rounded, soft forms that invite you in, but behind the charm is a layout carefully engineered for footfall and commercial performance. The space was divided into three zones, each with a specific role: The festive train check-in corner and the mid-atrium parachuting Capy were designed for virality, extending dwell time and turning visitors into organic promoters on social media. The central stage, featuring an oversized Capy pushing a birthday cake, served as the visual magnet of the entire atrium, drawing crowds to the center and anchoring the performance program. The vendor booth zone was planned around natural movement flow, alternating square and circular structures, with a camera-shaped partition that softened the space and helped brands push sales without feeling forced.
Real-life Photos
Getting the curves right on the giant Capy required CNC foam carving, precise to the millimeter. From there, a 20-person crew spent days hand-finishing every surface, layering filler, paint, and detail work until the character came to life. The harder challenge was the suspension. Hanging a mascot of that scale in an open atrium meant calculating load, cable tension, and structural support down to the last kilogram, keeping the installation safe while preserving the natural mid-air drift of a Capy actually skydiving. Over 50 people worked through the night to get everything ready on time. On inspection day, the Look team ended up losing track of time in the space they had just built. That felt like the right sign.
